Lipetsk HPP-2 Confirms Installed Power

“Quadra – Power Generation” has successfully completed the tests confirming the installed power of Lipetsk HPP-2.

Such tests are carried out at the request of the system operator. Their purpose is to check the condition of the generating equipment of the facility. Lipetsk HPP-2 sustained an electrical load of 515 MW for eight hours, all five turbines of the plant were operating at maximum power.

“The tests confirmed the high level of preparation of the facility equipment, which is a guarantee of high-quality and uninterrupted electricity and heat supply to the region,” said Alexey Kurilo, Managing Director of Lipetsk Generation – the branch of PJSC “Quadra – Power Generation.”

Lipetsk HPP-2 is one of the largest energy facilities in the Central Federal District of Russia. The installed electric power of the plant is 515 MW, which makes it possible to meet about 25% of the electricity demand of the entire Lipetsk Region.
