The Nordex Group has awarded Global Wind Service (GWS) with the pre-assembly, installation and completion scope for the 94 MW onshore windfarm Pomerania in Poland.

GWS will deliver up to 50 skilled technicians for the assembly and installation of all 29 turbines of the wind farm – 28 x N131/3600 on TS114 and 1 x N117/3600 on TS120. Pre-assembly is scheduled to commence at site during this week and installation by the end of May.

“We are really looking forward to start this project and are very pleased that the Nordex Group has chosen us as their partner for this major Polish project. An award like this just underlines the strong partnership we have with the Nordex Group. Also, Poland is a core marked for us. We have been present in the country with a local office almost from the very beginning and we are very committed” said Lars Petersen, CCO at Global Wind Service.

Pomerania wind farm is to be built in north of the country, in the Pomeranian Voivodship, approximately 50 km from the coastline of the Bay of Gdansk, in the municipalities of Dzierzgon and Stary Targ. Lithuanian utility Lietuvos Energija bought the project in 2019 and the project will be the one of the largest new onshore wind farms in Poland.
