Global Wind Services (GWS) announced that they have installed its 100th turbine in Spain for GE Renewable Energy. In 2018 GE Renewable Energy awarded GWS with Monloras and this year we were awarded with the CIP Moncayo project as well.

“After the successful completion of Monloras, we are very pleased that GE Renewable Energy has chosen to continue our great collaboration also for the Moncayo project. We have had a close partnership and collaboration with GE Renewable Energy for many years and with the Spanish market picking up, we are very happy to support them with our full scope installation and project management solutions. Having installed 100 turbines for GE Renewable Energy in Spain is a great achievement and we look very much forward to the continued partnership” said Lars Petersen, CCO at Global Wind Service.

Monloras wind farm, north of Zaragoza consists of 61 x GE 3.8MW 85HH – 130RD turbines spread across six locations. GWS delivered a full project & HSEQ management set-up with manpower for unloading, installation, mechanical and electrical completion, and tools for the project as well as full back office support. The project ran after a very strict time schedule, with up to 5 handovers per week, but GWS safely and efficiently reached all milestones in due time.

The CIP Moncayo project, northwest of Zaragoza consists of 45 x GE 3.8MW 85HH – 130RD turbines spread across four locations. The scope comprises installation, mechanical and electrical completion, tooling as well as connection and testing of the 6kV high voltage cable. Work commenced at site in the beginning of December 2019
