Daco Heavylift Safely Handled 7 Wärtsilä Engines and their Generators

Daco Heavylift received 7 Wärtsilä engines and their generators, weighing 296 tons and 72 tons respectively, at the port of Nassau in the Bahamas.

All the cargo was offloaded using the ship’s crane and temporarily stored on stools and beams inside the port before being transported to site, 26 kilometers away.

Daco Heavylift used a 16-axle self-propelled trailer (PST/SL) to safely transport the engines to site.

All components were delivered onto their foundations without incidents and within the proposed time-frame.
