Jan De Nul Lifts 2,500 Tonne Lock Gate in Port of Zeebrugge

A spectacular lifting operation took place in Belgium: The second lock gate of the Pierre Vandammesluis was disconnected, lifted and transported to the inner port of Zeebrugge by Jan De Nul, where she will be renovated the coming months. The heavy lift vessel Gulliver lifted the 2,500 tonnes lock gate having the surface of one quarter of a football pitch.
