Ørsted aims to be Taiwan’s most reliable green energy partner, helping government’s 2050 net zero ambition

Ørsted today announced that the Greater Changhua 1 & 2a Offshore Wind Farms construction schedule is well on track and is positive that the project be delivered by the end of 2022.

Ørsted Taiwan General Manger Christy Wang says their goal is to deliver world-class wind farms that produce clean energy to help meeting Taiwan’s rising demand for green power and will Ørsted continue its role as Taiwan’s green energy partner by delivering quality wind farms.

The energy company also announced that its first turbine of Greater Changhua project is successfully installed.

Changhua 1 Wind Farm

The 605 MW Greater Changhua 1 wind farm is owned by Ørsted (50 per cent), and a consortium comprising Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ) and the Taiwanese private equity fund, Cathay PE (50 per cent).
