Royal Roos joins the Maritime Battery Forum.

The Maritime Battery Forum is excited to announce that Royal Roos joined as a member. Royal Roos is a marine engineering company for the dredging, offshore and marine industry. They provide marine engineering services, salvage consultancy, preparation and supervision of demanding repair and modification project and mobilization support at their quay side. They have offices in Rotterdam, the Netherlands and Ferrol, Spain.
Located in Merwehaven, Rotterdam, Royal Roos has a centrally located quay side allowing vessels up to 225 meters long, 30 meters wide and with a 40.000 ton deadweight, at a harbour depth of 9,65 meters. With a total of 1500 m2 of solar panels at their facility, they can offer shore power for all sorts of vessels for project and mobilization support, powered by renewable energy.

Royal Roos decided to join the Maritime Battery Forum as a member to be able to join the discussions on the development of shore power and how batteries will play a role in utilizing the power from solar panels in an efficient way to decarbonize the marine industry. Shore power and maritime batteries complement each other in multiple aspects and therefore the MBF is excited to announce this new membership.
