United Shipping Group launches United Heavy Transport

UNITED SHIPPING GROUP announces the launch of specialized heavy marine transportation company United Heavy Transport. The company aims to focus on the dry tow market with a fleet of five (5) purpose-built and state-of-the-art semi-submersible heavy transport vessels operating under the partnership agreement between Guangzhou Salvage, GS Pango and UNITED HEAVY LIFT since 2018. UNITED HEAVY TRANSPORT will commercially represent the fleet on behalf of Guangzhou Salvage and GS Pango.

The company operates out of UNITED SHIPPING GROUP’s headquarters in Hamburg and an office in Houston, Texas, which has opened as from May 1, 2020. They have tapped into the heavy marine industry with the recent addition of Anthony Perez. He has over 11 years of experience in the marine transportation business and will lead the operation in Houston as the Regional Director of the Americas. The operations in Hamburg will be led by Andreas Rolner and a dedicated project team. With Philipp Mehringer being responsible for business development.

Services include dry transport of offshore rigs, fixed and floating production systems, dredging cargo and construction vessels, modular transportation of onshore LNG facilities, topside floatover installation with the cooperation of UNITED ENGINEERING SOLUTIONS and offshore wind logistical management solutions together with UNITED WIND LOGISTICS.
