Wintershall Platforms in Dutch North Sea Decommissioned by HLV Gulliver

Last week the HLV Gulliver carried out the decommissioning of the two Wintershall Nordzee platforms Q4B and Q4-A located 15 miles off the coast of the province of North Holland.

The removal of Q4-B consisted of a floating topside and 4 suction bucket legs, transport 2 by 2 in HLV crane hooks.

Q4-A platform was removed in 2 sections, a topside transported in the hooks and later on a jacket lifted and transported with ILT’s by HLV Gulliver.

By safely and successfully executing the project, Scaldis has confirmed once more its reputation as reliable contractor for offshore decommissioning works in the North Sea.
