As previously communicated, Gabriel Strängberg has chosen to leave the position as CEO. The SeaTwirl board of directors has therefore decided to hire an interim CEO to maintain momentum while searching for a permanent replacement.

The board has initiated the process to find a replacement with the right skill set to lead the company forward. The board has focused on ensuring a smooth and well-planned transition while securing the continuity within the company. In order to not rush a decision, the board has decided to hire an interim CEO while recruiting a permanent CEO.

“Peter Schou is very competent person that I have worked with earlier and I am convinced that he will do a great job”, says Jens Tommerup, chairman of the board of SeaTwirl.

Peter has worked in different positions and companies in Asia for 17 years, most recently as CEO for Rockwool Insulation in Beijing, China. During his time in China, he served as board member of the Danish Wind Power Association. After Asia, Peter moved to Malmö and got a Global Executive MBA at the Copenhagen Business School (CBS).

“I look forward to this task and believe that I can contribute to the further development of SeaTwirl while I am here and secure a smooth transition to the permanent replacement”, says incoming interim CEO Peter Schou.

“It feels comfortable to hand over to Peter who has long and broad experience from other CEO roles”, says resigning CEO Gabriel Strängberg.

Peter will work together with Gabriel and take over formally as CEO from February 7th.
